I’ve finished. My chapbook of poetry, Desert Flowers, is complete! I worked so hard on this and spent ages deliberating on everything from the card and paper I used and the thread to bind it, the front cover and of course the poems inside.
I’m super nervous for people to actually read my poems but it feels pretty damn good to have my name in print! If you would like to buy one I’d be eternally grateful, they are £5 a copy and here is a link to my etsy shop where you can buy it!
Thank you and I hope you enjoy my poetry!
Gone Girl– I watched the movie a while ago, my expectations high due to the director, David Fincher, and his previous films like Fight Club, Seven and Zodiac.
However, like I mentioned in that review, I wasn’t really sure what to make of the film. I wasn’t even sure if I liked it, and I was pretty confused about what it was trying to say and the characters in the film. I still wouldn’t say it was a bad film…it just fell kind of flat for me.
In the comments of that review I did, someone commented and said that the film might of been better for me if I had read the book by Gillian Flynn (who also adapted the screenplay), and said that the movie for them had really brought the book to life.

The Last Night of the Earth Poems.
“The days are long, but the years are short.”
I couldn’t find the exact source for this quote, but nonetheless, It’s perfect for how I feel about time. It’s summer, but before I know it, the branches will be bare, and winter will come again. For someone who doesn’t particularity cope well in the heat, sometimes it can feel summer just…escapes me. I hate the wasps, I hate the feel of my makeup melting off my face, allergies, the stickiness, the constant frown on your face because it’s just simply too bright to look straight. Despite all of those…annoyances, summer still has it’s advantages and it’s great moments, even to the most psychotropic of people, like the way the sun makes patterns on the ground through the leaves in the trees and the way everything looks so much better in summer.

I have a very short attention span. I currently have two unfinished movies to watch, one documentary and one book, Dracula. What’s even more annoying is the fact that, all these things I’ve not yet finished…I actually have been enjoying. I just kind of…can’t pay attention any more, so I stop because I like to give something good the attention it deserves.
Damn my short attention span!
